Photo of the week: Still going dark

I thought I was done experimenting with dark, black and white pictures. I was wrong. I don’t think this experiment will be over anytime soon or anytime ever for that matter. There is something about dark pictures that instantly draws me in. Plus, they are easy to edit, for me at least, and being a fan of dark colours, they easily appeal to me.

 Everyone is born creative; everyone is given a box of crayons in kindergarten. Then you hit puberty they take the crayons away and replace them with dry, uninspiring books on algebra, history, etc. Being suddenly hit years later with the ‘creative bug’ is just a wee voice telling you, ‘I’d like my crayons back, please.’ – Hugh Macleod

Each day there is a group of people who fight to stay sane. They look like you on the outside but on the inside; something else totally. They are being torn apart bit by bit by the creative bugs; these things dig and bite deep. After all is damaged and calm, it’s a sight like this that’s left.
